Monday and Thursday, 9:00am-12:00pm
Children ages 5-10 can use our kid-sized cardio and strength equipment to challenge their cardiovascular, muscular strength and endurance abilities. Kids Fitness Center is located in Kids Central. Instructor will be on duty.
Center use is free when a parent stays in Kids Central, otherwise babysitting charges apply.
Please remember that sneakers are required. No flip-flops, crocs, open-toe shoes allowed.
Socks are always required to play in Kids Central.
Kids Central Babysitting
Let your child enjoy friends and fun in our Kids Central indoor playground. This service is for the convenience of our members using the YMCA facilities and programs.
Kids Central babysitting is offered from 8:30am-8pm, Monday through Thursday.
Morning Babysitting Hours
Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 12:30 pm (Ages 3 months to 12 years)
Saturday 8:00 am - 12:30 pm (Ages 3 months to 12 years)
Sunday 9:00 am - 12:00 noon (Ages 3 months, staffing levels permitting, or ages walking to 12 years)
Afternoon and Evening Babysitting Hours
Monday - Thursday 12:30 - 8:00 pm (Ages 3 months to 12 years)
Infant babysitting (3 months and up) is available in a separate section of Kids Central. For safety, Kids Central staff may limit admittance based on adult to child ratios.
Kids Central operates a swipe card system for babysitting fees. Charges (punches) will be stored on family accounts and will be deducted from the account when a child is checked into Kids Central.
Pricing is as follows:
| 1-9 punches | $3.00 per punch |
| 10-24 punches | $2.50 per punch |
| 25+ punches | $2.00 per punch |
Punches must be purchased prior to use and will be sold at the Welcome Center; Kids Central staff does not handle cash. Infant maximum stay is 1 1/4 hr.; toddler through school age may stay a maximum of 1 3/4 hr. There is a $10 fee for exceeding the maximum time limit. Any unused punches expire 1 year from date of purchase.
Members and non-members may enjoy the Kids Central indoor playground. Members may visit for free, while non-members and parents of Youth members may purchase a One Day Membership Pass.
Kids Central Open Play Schedule
Monday - Saturday 12:30 - 8:00 pm *
Sunday 12:30 - 3:30 pm * and 3:30 - 8:00 pm
* Subject to closure during scheduled Birthday Parties from time to time. Please call ahead to confirm.
During Open Play, parents are required to remain with children, and to adhere to posted age recommendations for play areas. Food and drink are not permitted. Socks must be worn, and climbing is not permitted on slides, netting or tops of play units. When present, YMCA Staff reserve the right to enforce these guidelines. Please follow all posted signs.
Staff Nutritionist, Natalie Vetrini, organizes fun nutrition activities for your children in Kids Central while you exercise.
Nutrition Wednesdays will resume in the fall.

What are the Kids Central health and safety guidelines?
If a child is contagious (i.e. pink eye, fever, runny nose, upset stomach, etc.) we ask that members not use Kids Central until their child has recovered. If the Kids Central personnel believe a child to be contagious, the child will not be accepted into Babysitting or Open Play.
If a child has contracted a contagious illness and has been contagious while in our care, we ask that you inform the YMCA immediately so we can notify other parents/guardians and take the appropriate actions.
