School-Age Child Care: After School Program at the Y

  Join us for School Age Child Care in our After School Zone (K - Grade 5): 
  
  Pods alternate their "home base" location each day between the Craft Room and Kids Central.
  
  

   

  • 3:30-3:45 p.m. - Arrive at the Madison Area YMCA's Family Center
  • 3:45 p.m. - Meet in Kids Central or Craft Room, wash hands, kids to bathrooms
  • 3:50 p.m. - Snack
  • 4 p.m.  - Homework/ or reading 
  • 4:30 p.m. - Stations: Rec Room Games or games in Kids Central, LEGO projects, Arts & Crafts, etc.
  • 5:30- 6 p.m. Dismissal

  
  

  Registered in a program? Great!

  • 4 -4:45 p.m. - We are safely delivering children that have registered for our youth programs to their classes, and helping them get ready (Sports, SOPA, Y Ninja Gym, Swim Lessons, etc.). Parents must pick up their child at their child's program if it ends after 5:45 p.m.

   

• More Information

   

  • The Madison Area YMCA provides transportation to and from schools in Madison. Children are bussed to the Family Center from their local schools for an afternoon of learning, fitness, and fun, including dedicated homework time and supervised computer access. Transportation from schools in Madison is available on the days your child is enrolled and can be added for an additional fee.
  • Physical activity includes intramurals, strength training, and team-focused activities, all within the context of the Y core values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.
  • Enrichment programs that span art, crafts, and a focus on STEM including LEGO classes, etc. are offered on a rotating basis and are included in the tuition.

  • Kids Day Out (full daycare during school holidays and vacations) is offered and can be added for an additional fee.

• Kids Day Out

  Looking for more fun when school's out? Join us for Kids Day Out for an enriching and fun-filled program when school is not in session! Families have the option to register for full-day care and programming during school holidays, vacations, and most closures.
  
  Kids Day Out at the Family Center includes an array of activities to keep kids engaged all day long. Children build confidence and learn new skills through daily activities such as STEM projects, arts & crafts, teambuilding activities, sports, dance and more, all while keeping safe and healthy.
