The Colony Pool Club
Established in 1928 as a local swim club, the Colony Pool Club has grown into a beloved Chatham Township landmark known for generations of summer family fun. Through a partnership between Chatham Township and the Madison Area YMCA, the Colony Pool will continue to serve its members while benefiting from experienced aquatic leadership, enhanced water safety practices, and expanded opportunities for swimmers of all ages.
Located in the heart of Chatham Township, the Club features amenities and special events of interest to families, seniors, and young adults alike. If you’re looking to experience an enjoyable summer — resting your feet or building sandcastles in over 8,300 square feet of soft beach sand, exercising in one of our six 25-meter swimming lanes, or attending a family BBQ or Sunday float days, then The Colony Pool Club is your summer family getaway!

Please note: Flotation devices are not permitted at the facility except during designated Family Float Days with specific time restrictions. All non-swimmers must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

The following emergency response volunteers are eligible for the Resident Senior Individual or Resident Couple membership rate.

Group Swim Lessons
Registration for Colony Pool Member swim lessons will begin on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 9 AM.
Each session will meet Monday through Thursdays 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Classes will follow the YMCA Swim Program curriculum. All participants must be toilet-trained. The group swim lesson fee is $80 per swimmer per session and is available to members of Colony Pool only.

Colony Pool Swim Team
The Colony Pool Club Swim Team is a member of the New Jersey Summer Swim League. Registration will open once the finalized meet schedule is received from the league, which is expected no later than mid-April.
