2024 MEMBER-DRIVEN ENHANCEMENTS

• Youth Development: We have strengthened our commitment to youth programs by hiring and retaining highly trained and skilled staff, enabling us to offer a wider variety of engaging services and activities for our members.
• Family Center Facility Improvements: We've made significant upgrades, including a major roof repair, the installation of a new audio system in the Teen Center, new sod in the Keep Street yard, critical boiler repairs, and upgrades to our 8-lane pool pump and chemical control systems.
• F.M. Kirby Children’s Center Enhancements: We completed a renovation project that transformed the existing stage and part of the gymnasium into two new classrooms, updated the playground, upgraded the AV system in the gymnasium, and repaired and added new sidewalks. This expansion allows us to provide exceptional care and education to even more families in our community.
• Future Growth: We purchased 100 Kings Road, paving the way for future program expansion and increased opportunities for our members.
• Fitness and Wellness Enhancements: We added new weightlifting equipment and rowers to provide members with even more ways to stay active and achieve their fitness goals.

MEMBERSHIP RATE ADJUSTMENT

We are constantly working hard to ensure that your Y membership continues to be valuable. We’ve listened to your feedback and have made meaningful improvements to both our facilities and the programs we offer. In 2024 alone, we’ve added new fitness equipment, expanded classes, and enhanced the spaces where families, kids, and individuals can thrive. Our goals at the Y are to continue to provide excellent programs and services while being responsible stewards of our resources and keeping membership affordable. To continue to provide you with quality offerings and to ensure a sustainable future, most of our membership rates will increase nominally on January 1, 2025, or on your January renewal date. We are pleased to share that we are able to hold our Senior Adult and Senior Family membership rates with no increase at this time. Our new monthly rate schedule can be found below.

The upcoming rate adjustment, effective January 1, 2025, is essential for us to continue providing the programs, services, and experiences that make your membership at the Y so rewarding. Most importantly, this adjustment will help ensure that we can continue supporting the staff who play such a crucial role in the quality of service you receive.

We believe your membership at the Madison Area YMCA is an investment in your wellbeing and the wellbeing of the entire community. By maintaining competitive rates, we’re able to support the people and programs that make a difference in the lives of our members every day.

SCHOLARSHIPS, A KEY MEMBER BENEFIT
One of the many benefits of a Madison Area YMCA Membership, includes Scholarships. We understand that even small rate increases can pose challenges, which is why we continue to offer financial assistance through our YMCA Scholarships for membership, programs, camp, and childcare. Cost should never be a barrier to accessing the resources you need for healthy living.
