2015 Community Appeal of Y’s 2015 Annual Campaign Kicks Off!
(Madison, NJ) February 20, 2015- The Madison Area YMCA kicked off its 2015 Annual Campaign to the community on Thursday, February 12, at the Y’s Family Center.
A nonprofit community organization, the Madison Area YMCA kicks off its Annual Campaign by raising funds through a staff appeal. This year, 290 staff members donated more than $35,000. The campaign is now rolling out to the community led by a group of more than 60 dedicated volunteer campaigners that include Y Board members, Y members and community members.
The Madison Area YMCA’s Annual Campaign raises awareness and funds for the Y’s financial assistance program that enables the participation of hundreds of children and families in Y membership, programs, wellness initiatives, services and camps at its Family Center and childcare, early childhood education and summer camps at its F.M. Kirby Children’s Center.
The Campaign is one of the ways that allows the Y to provide assistance to anyone who resides or works in Madison, Chatham and Florham Park. Support is provided based on demonstrated need, with the goal that no one be turned away from membership regardless of income or background.
The Annual Campaign also helps the Y broaden its reach into initiating enriching community wellness and health-enhancing programs such as LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, the Community Mental Health Initiative, the Diabetes Prevention Program, Enhance®Fitness, Parkinson’s Disease Program and Walk with Ease, an arthritis program.
