The Madison Area YMCA and the Madison Health Department Present Diabetes Education and Prevention Through Whole Foods Lunch & Learn Program

(Madison, NJ) June 19, 2015- The Madison Area YMCA and the Madison Health department will lead a Whole Foods Lunch & Learn session on diabetes education and prevention at Whole Foods Market in the Café located at 222 Main Street in Madison.

Samantha Robinson of the Madison Health Department will lead the community lecture on Friday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Sign up at the store is recommended but not required.

Learn about the two types of diabetes, the growing concern for prediabetes, common blood tests that are used for diabetes, risk factors for diabetes and prevention options and resources.

The Madison Area YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is a lifestyle change program that helps adults at high risk for developing Type 2 diabetes reduce their risk by taking steps that will improve their overall health and well-being.
