Leading the Way into Fall…Register for Madison Area YMCA
Fall 2016 Classes and More!

(Madison, NJ) – August 11, 2016 –Register for Madison Area YMCA Fall 2016 classes that begin on Monday, September 12. Members and non-members welcome.

Priority registration for members begins Tuesday, August 23, at 7:30 p.m. Registration for members is on-going, both online and in-person. Non-members may register in person only starting Tuesday, August 30, at 7:30 p.m. The schedule includes new classes in various areas for all ages from parent/child to adult.

The Aquatics department is offering 20-week sessions for children starting at 6 months old through 16. Private swim lessons are available for children 3 years old through adult. The Madison Area YMCA swim team, the Mariners, offers a year-round opportunity for competitive swimming in both YMCA and USA Swimming for girls and boys from 6 years old through high school.

The gymnastics department is offering 20-week sessions for children of all ages. Parent/child classes are available for crawlers. Gymnastics classes for preschoolers and beyond are available. Competitive opportunities are available through participation on the Rosettes gymnastics team.

The Sports department is offering 10-week sessions for children of all ages from preschool through school age in sports including basketball, floor hockey, golf, karate, lacrosse, soccer, t-ball, tennis, volleyball and strength and athlete training. Y-Winners classes are available in flag football and soccer.

The Performing Arts department is offering 20-week sessions for children starting at 2 years old in a variety of disciplines from tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop and Irish dance to musical theatre, singing, acting and improvisation. Children enrolled in a class prior to October 28, 2015, are invited to participate in a Mid-Year Showcase in the Annunciation Center at the College of St. Elizabeth on January 28, 2016.

Enrichment and family programming at the Y includes classes starting with parent/child classes through school age in a variety of subject matter including arts & crafts, cooking, Legos, reading music, Healthy U and more. The Madison Area YMCA hosts birthday parties through most of its departments. Girls can also earn scouting badges.

Kids Central offers babysitting services for children starting at 3 months old. The Zone is the Madison Area YMCA’s tween area for children ages 8 through 11. The Zone has games, books, Xbox, Kinect, rock wall climbing and more! Drop-off programs are also available that allow parents to drop off their children and leave the facility for an extended period of time—must book a reservation in advance.

The Madison Area YMCA is a 501c3 cause-driven charitable organization dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Generous donations make it possible for everyone in the community to be enriched by the Y, regardless of ability to pay, to develop a healthy spirit, mind and body at any age.
