Farm to Table: Kirby Kids Harvest and Eat the Veggies They Helped Grow
(Madison, NJ) September 20, 2016 – F.M. Kirby Children’s Center preschool students harvested ripe and delicious summer vegetables that they helped grow and then enjoyed creating and eating culinary delights like zucchini bread and stuffed zucchini. They seasoned their pizzas with fresh basil and shucked their own corn. Sophia Barquero, 5, from Morristown, Willow Pflug, 3, from Berkeley Heights and Tomax Park, 4, from Madison have fun in the garden.
