Campaign Celebration 2017

(Madison, NJ) May 5, 2017The Madison Area YMCA’s 2017 Annual Campaign exceeded its goal and raised more than $400,000 through the dedication and enthusiasm of more than 100 volunteer campaigners. The Y and its volunteer campaigners celebrated their accomplishment at the Madison Hotel in Morristown.

The Madison Area YMCA’s Annual Campaign raises awareness and funds for the Y’s financial assistance program that enables the participation of hundreds of children and families in Y membership, programs, wellness initiatives, services and camps at our Family Center and childcare, early childhood education and summer camps at our F.M. Kirby Children’s Center.

The Campaign is one of the ways the Y to is able to provide assistance to anyone who resides or works in Madison, Chatham and Florham Park. Support is provided based on demonstrated need, with the goal that no one be turned away from membership regardless of income or background.

The Annual Campaign also helps the Y broaden its reach into initiating enriching community wellness and health-enhancing programs such as its cancer survivors’ program LIVESTRONG at the YMCA; the Community Mental Health Initiative; Project Community Pride, a youth counseling program; the Diabetes Prevention Program; One Step, a Multiple Sclerosis program; Delay the Disease, a Parkinson’s Disease program; and EnhanceFitness.

A nonprofit community organization, the Madison Area YMCA kicks off its Annual Campaign by raising funds through a staff appeal. The campaign then rolls out to Y Board members, Y members and the community led by a group of dedicated volunteer campaigners.
