The Madison Area YMCA and Chambers Center for Well Being Partner to Present Free Educational Health-based Lectures
(Madison, NJ) – September 19, 2017—The Chambers Center for Well Being, an affiliate of Atlantic Health System, and the Madison Area YMCA have partnered to offer free educational health-based lectures. The community is invited to two seminars given by Atlantic Integrative Medical Associates to discuss Acupuncture & Functional Medicine.
Acupuncture for Every Body! Will take place 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, in the Madison Area YMCA’s Hubbard conference room. Join us as acupuncturists from Chambers Center for Well Being address the most common questions people ask when considering acupuncture for their health/medical concerns. Learn what acupuncture is, how it works, why patients find it relaxing, what kind of training and credentials practitioners have, success stories and how it can help you. Bernard Chan L.ac, MSOM, is a Licensed Acupuncturist who has a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine; Jutta Gassner L.ac DAOM, is a Licensed Acupuncturist who has a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine and Tinna Kim L.ac DAOM, is a Licensed Acupuncturist who has a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine.
Functional Medicine: A New Paradigm in Healthcare will take place 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, in the Madison Area YMCA’s Kroll conference room. Dr. Maria Vila will discuss how the functional medicine approach to disease is different than the traditional medicine approach. Join us as Dr. Vila guides you through a typical functional medicine evaluation process and reviews the lifestyle factors that play a key role in health and wellness. Basic functional medicine testing is reviewed with an emphasis on why it is different than traditional testing.
