The Madison Area YMCA Kicked Off Its Staff Appeal for the Y’s Annual Campaign

(Madison, NJ) – November 10, 2017—The Madison Area YMCA kicked off its Staff Appeal for the Y’s Annual Campaign at the Family Center and F.M. Kirby Children’s Center on November 2.

Staff members will be seen wearing CaUSe Driven blue baseball t-shirts on Thursdays at the Y which recognizes their commitment to the Staff Appeal and raises awareness of the Annual Campaign. The staff is participating in a social media campaign, #SelfieWithSomeoneNew, that encourages YMCA members and staff to take selfies with someone they haven't met before.

“Now, more than ever, we must continue to bring people together, find common ground and bridge divides in the service of a better us,” said Madison Area YMCA Campaign Director Leigh Anne Soroka. “Here at the Y, we know that can start with something as simple as striking up a conversation with someone you've just met!”

The Annual Campaign raises awareness and funds for the Y’s financial assistance program that enables children and families, who work or reside within the Madison Area YMCA’s service area, to participate in Y programs and services regardless of their abilities to pay. Support is provided based upon demonstrated need. All donations remain local. The Annual Campaign also helps the Y broaden its reach into initiating enriching community wellness and health-enhancing programs.

As a cause-driven charitable organization, the Y is dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving our community’s health and well-being and giving back by providing support to our neighbors.
