F.M. Kirby Children’s Center of the Madison Area YMCA Students Learn About the Life Cycle of Butterflies

(Madison, NJ) May 8, 2018—Caterpillars have come to the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center of the Madison Area YMCA. Students are learning how caterpillars eat and grow, create their chrysalis and then go through metamorphosis to become butterflies. By reading books on butterflies, coloring pictures of the life cycle of butterflies and watching the transformation in real time in their classrooms, the students are learning so much about nature.

Oliver Madugula, 2, from Madison examines the caterpillars while Matthew Gomez, 2, from Madison, Camila Barquero, 2, from Morristown and Luciana Polce, 2, from Madison look on, patiently waiting their turn.
