(Madison, NJ) July 27, 2018 – The 17th Annual Madison Area YMCA Charity Bocce Invitational “Tournament to Wellness,” presented by Investors Bank for the sixth year, begins Monday, September 10, and continues through the middle of October.

Hosted by the Forum Club and the Toto family, the event will raise funds for the Madison Area YMCA’s Paths to Wellness programming that include LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, a 12-week no fee wellness program for cancer survivors and their families, Diabetes Prevention Program, Community Mental Health Initiative, Healthy Hearts, Enhance Fitness, One Step, Delay the Disease and Project Community Pride of the Madison Area YMCA. Organizers are actively seeking event and team sponsorships. Last year, the event raised more than $35,000 for the Y’s Paths to Wellness Programs.

“We are excited to spend another fall season on the Bocce court with the community,” said Madison Area YMCA Special Events and Volunteer Manager Melissa DeSalvo. “The health and wellness needs of our community continue to be met through the help of events like the Bocce Invitational which raises funds that helps the Y offer no-fee and reduced fee programs to all.”

The YMCA is actively recruiting teams and team sponsors to support the cause. Contact Melissa at mdesalvo@madisonymca.org to learn more.

Calling all spectators! Come out and support a great cause. Four matches are played each Monday through Thursday starting at 6:30 p.m. for 45 minutes per match.

Adjacent to the Forum Club, the Bocce court is situated in the main parking lot at the far end of the Madison Area YMCA located at 111 Kings Road in Madison.

The Madison Area YMCA is a 501c3 cause-driven charitable organization dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
