The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey and the Madison Area YMCA present PhilanthrOPERA: A Musical Celebration of Philanthropy

(Madison, NJ) – September 7, 2018—Join the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey and the Madison Area YMCA for PhilanthrOPERA: A Musical Celebration of Philanthropy, a gathering that celebrates music while raising money for a nonprofit that serves its community. PhilanthrOPERA will take place on Sat., Sept. 29, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, located at 4 Madison Avenue in Madison, with a reception to follow.

Opera and Broadway arias and duets from Les Misérables, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Guys and Dolls, Lakmé, Sound of Music, Rigoletto and more will delight the audience. The evening will feature Metropolitan Opera Chorus Tenor Gary Pate, Professional Opera Sopranos Valerie Bernhardt and Lorraine Ernest, Lyric Baritone David Kirby, Broadway Tenor Tom Sellwood and Conductor Robert W. Butts.

All ticket proceeds from PhilanthrOPERA will benefit the Madison Area YMCA’s Annual Fund, which supports families and individuals in our community. Donations help ensure that programs including the Madison Area YMCA’s School of Performing Arts, health and wellness programming and child care and education at the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center of the Madison Area YMCA are accessible to every member in our community, regardless of their ability to pay. Please join us today in helping advance our cause.
