(Madison, NJ) May 20, 2019—Shifu Hayashi Tomio, author, Buddhist monk, 8th degree black belt and career teacher, has been named a 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient by Marquis Who's Who. Hayashi is an author of seven martial arts books and a frequent contributor to the national martial art community. He has studied Okinawan Karate, Aikido, Tai Chi, Kobudo, Esoteric Monastic Kempo and is an expert in Kiko the Okinawan equivalent of Chinese Chi Kung. Practitioners of isshinryu karate should be particularly interested as Hayashi has 50 years of experience in Okinawan karate study.
