Active Minds and Bodies, Warm Hearts:
Winter Programs at the Madison Area YMCA

(Madison, NJ) January 14, 2021 - The Madison Area YMCA invites you to participate in our 10-week Winter Session beginning on Monday, February 1 with programs for all ages, 6 days a week. Warm up and get your heart pumping in our small studio adult and youth programs, private lessons and custom pod offerings including instructor-led Fitness pods are available for Gymnastics, the School of Performing Arts (SOPA), Sports skill development for basketball, flag football, soccer, floor hockey and archery, Y Ninja Gym, no-fee Teen programming including Leaders Club and Tutoring, and more. While still maintaining physical distance requirements, our custom pods are the perfect opportunity to extend skill development within a "safe circle."

Priority Member Registration begins online on Thursday, January 14 at 9AM and for non-members on Friday, January 15 at 9AM. Enrollment is strictly limited due to health and safety guidelines.

As a leader in healthy living, the Madison Area YMCA diligently monitors developments surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and communicates with and provides resources to our community. Wellness has never been more essential to our community than it is now. Following recommendations from the Madison Department of Health and the CDC, and following the Governor’s Executive Orders, we provide a safe and healthy experience for all participants.

“Our Winter Session schedule includes a variety of enriching program opportunities to meet the varying needs of our community’s youth, especially during this season’s challenging circumstances,” said Senior Program Director Kim Buccheri.  “In addition to our reduced-ratio traditional class offerings, we are pleased to continue to offer pods. Creating a custom pod is the perfect opportunity to extend your child's distance learning plan or to create a weekly gathering for you and your friends that are in your safe circle. Pods are intended to provide ultimate flexibility in creating a SOPA, Gymnastic, Ninja Gym, Sports, or Y Fitness class for a self-contained group of family and friends.”
