(Madison, NJ) - August 26, 2021– Ever watch a child in Gymnastics, swim on a team, or score a goal on the soccer field? Then you have seen it. It is the look of pure joy that comes from a good time and the good feeling of belonging to a team. At the Madison Area YMCA, many classes are being offered that allow children to practice and develop good sportsmanship, experience being a part of a team and realizing their potential as they grow. Dreams start here at the Y where children are encouraged to go as far as their dreams will take them while growing and developing in a healthy and safe environment.

The Madison Area YMCA invites you to participate in our Fall Session beginning on Monday, September 13, including an exciting lineup of new classes and programs for all ages, running for 10 and 20 weeks. Registration for Members is now open online. Open (non-member) registration begins online on Friday, August 27 at 9 a.m.

With clinics, workshops, intensives and programs for preschoolers through teenagers across Fitness, Gymnastics, School of Performing Arts, new special needs programming, Sports and Y Ninja Gym, there is something for everyone! YMCA programs help keep children's minds and bodies active and build confidence and a positive attitude. Children can explore new interests. Having choices and taking responsibility engages children and allows them to learn and enjoy something new or something they are already enjoying. Browse our offerings online with your children; you may be surprised at the classes they are interested in!

Are your children looking for something custom-tailored to their interests and skill-level? Check out our pod offerings including coach and instructor-led Fitness, Gymnastics, School of Performing Arts (SOPA) and Sports pods. “While maintaining physical distance requirements, our custom pods are the perfect opportunity to extend skill development within a "safe circle”. We’ll create a weekly gathering for you and your pod to enjoy Y programming in a fun and safe environment,” said Associate Gymnastics and Y Ninja Gym Director Gus Ibranyi.

“We are so happy to continue to meet the needs of our community. This fall session, we offer more classes designed specifically for children with special needs to aid in bridging the gap in communication and social skills, while fostering imagination and creativity and, most of all fun! Our Danceabilities classes along with new programing created in partnership with Step Right Up Studios, Improv for Social Skills, are available for the fall session,” said Associate Executive Director – Programs Kim Buccheri.

Don’t wait to register as classes may fill up quickly. If your child can dream it, let them go for the gold at the Y. Whether it is doing a cartwheel, learning to dive or training to one day become part of the Olympics, the Y offers a wide range of classes, inspiration and knowledge to help kids reach their goals. Visit www.madisonareaymca.org/2021 for more information.

Although fall programs registration is available for all, to receive the attractive member rate an active Madison Area YMCA membership is required. Join the Y today! Wellness has never been more essential to our community than it is now. As a leader in healthy living, the Madison Area YMCA diligently monitors developments surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and communicates with and provides resources to our community. Following recommendations from the Madison Department of Health and the CDC, and following the Governor’s Executive Orders, we provide a safe and healthy experience for all participants, and strongly recommend that both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals wear face masks indoors at the Y. Children ages of 2-11, and those individuals that are not fully vaccinated MUST wear a mask when entering and throughout this facility. All Y staff are required to wear masks while indoors and teaching programming regardless of vaccination status. For more information about our current Mask Guidelines, please visit www.madisonareaymca.org/maskpolicy

As a mission-driven charitable organization and community wellness center, the Madison Area YMCA is dedicated to nurturing the potential of our youth, providing a safe space for teens, improving the community’s health and well-being, and giving back by providing support to our neighbors.
