Tim Coughlin Elected to Madison Area YMCA Board of Directors
(Madison, NJ) – February 9, 2024–Consulting Executive and community leader Tim Coughlin of Madison was elected to the Board of Directors of the Madison Area YMCA this winter.
A long-time YMCA member and volunteer, Mr. Coughlin is a Partner at Spencer Stuart, one of the world’s leading executive search, board, and leadership advisory firms. Tim is a Partner with Spencer Stuart and a member of the firm’s Private Equity, Boards, and Financial Officer practices, based in the New York office. Tim is a recipient of the firm’s prestigious Lou Rieger Quality Award for the highest level of quality work and excellent client service. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, he worked in the institutional equities division at Citigroup. Previously, Tim worked in risk management with the Marsh & McLennan Companies, covering liability, insurance, and other fiduciary issues for corporate clients across many industries. He earned his MBA with a concentration in finance from The Carroll School of Management at Boston College and his bachelor’s degree in history from Colgate University.
Mr. Coughlin has been part of the Madison Area YMCA’s community by serving on the Y’s Annual Golf Classic Committee, and additional program involvement through his children including the Mariners Swim Team, School of Performing Arts programs, basketball, gymnastics, and more. Tim is married to Nicole Coughlin and they are parents to Charlie, James, and Cate.

Tim was elected to the Y Board at its January 24, 2024 meeting.
