Camp Wantago at the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center Celebrates “Hero Week!”

(Madison, NJ) August 2, 2016 –Camp Wantago at the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center of the Madison Area YMCA celebrates “Hero Week!” Campers wrote thank you letters to our real-life local super heroes. Matteo Munoz, 6, from Madison; Mia Baldassano, 5, from Chatham and Koli Vales, 7, from New Providence, hold letters they wrote to the Madison Fire Department.

Through Operation Gratitude, the children also wrote letters to servicemen and women who are deployed in the U.S. Armed Forces. Campers also engaged in activities ranging from creating their own super hero figures to decorating capes and masks.
