(Madison, NJ) – March 25, 2022 – In response to the recent invasion in Ukraine, and in partnership with the Ukrainian Orthodox Holy Ascension Cathedral in Clifton, the Madison Area YMCA hosted a drive for first aid supplies that are in critical need from March 14-21. Our community heard the call for aid and responded generously! A team of volunteers packed donated items including first aid supplies, medicines, diapers, clothing essentials including underwear and socks, toiletries and more. Twenty-four packed boxes and over a dozen cases of diapers were passed on to the Ukrainian Orthodox Holy Ascension Cathedral for direct delivery to Ukraine.

As a mission-driven charitable organization and community wellness center, the Madison Area YMCA is dedicated to nurturing the potential of our youth, providing a safe space for teens, improving the community’s health and well-being, and giving back by providing support to our neighbors.
