Preschool Enrolling Now

(Madison, NJ) February 14, 2020—Preschool seats are filling at the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center of the Madison Area YMCA, a learning community that children thrive in. With the increase in expectations of children at earlier ages, and as the elementary curriculum in schools becomes increasingly rigorous, foundations must be laid early to prepare children to tackle more complex, integrated learning. Learn more about what the Kirby Center can offer your child.

The Kirby Center provides a solid early education foundation with curriculums for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, in addition to enriching before- and after-school programs, and specialty programs such as Talking Tots, Preschool Readiness and Kindergarten Readiness. Since the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center is part of the Madison Area YMCA, Kirby offers an all-inclusive experience that develops the whole child. Students can take swimming, sports, gymnastics, performing arts and enrichment classes at the Family Center, as part of their program.

In addition to full-day offerings, children may enroll in half-day preschool programs. The half-day preschool program for students 3 years old to 5 years old is designed to help children develop the more complex range of skills characteristic of this age that will prepare them for kindergarten. The program is from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. without lunch or 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with lunch (included in tuition). The program is available three, four or five days a week, and provides children with a structured, academically enriched learning environment. Children must be reliably toilet trained.

Utilizing the universally acclaimed, developmentally appropriate Creative Curriculum, teachers with an average tenure of more than 12 years help children develop pre-reading and writing readiness using a broad array of materials that engage children and make learning fun. Classroom activities focus on building independence and confidence while stretching young minds with a wide variety of hands-on experiences that promote the social, emotional and cognitive development of every child within a safe and nurturing learning community.

The F.M. Kirby Children’s Center of the Madison Area YMCA is the largest high-quality, full-service early childhood education provider in Morris County. A three-star Grow NJ Kids rated school, the Center was awarded a Golden Acorn Award for Excellence from Preschool Advantage this year. The educational and engaging curriculum creates a stress-free learning environment in a social setting. With full-time and part-time programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children, students are guided through every age and stage of childhood with individualized learning plans and an emphasis on social skills to create happy students with a love of learning.
